What We Do

We build pathways that expand access, unlock potential, and transform how youth engage with STEM across communities.

Equitable STEM Access For All

STEM shapes the future of our health, economy, and environment. Yet systemic barriers continue to limit who has access to participate and lead.

Visions of Science advances STEM equity by working alongside Black and racialized youth from low-income communities to build confidence, skills, and long-term pathways into education and careers.

Our approach is grounded in community, sustained over time, and designed to unlock the brilliance that too often goes unrecognized.

Building Pathways in STEM

We introduce early STEM experiences in community spaces where youth already live and learn.

We build confidence and belonging through mentorship, representation, and culturally relevant programming.

We support youth at critical transitions with sustained, multi-year STEM programming and pathways, offered at no direct cost to participants.

We partner with schools to strengthen academic readiness and connect classroom learning to real-world application.

We engage caregivers, educators, and partners to build a network of support around each young person.

Rooted in Community. Built for Impact.

Our work is place-based and deeply rooted in community. We operate across more than 40 neighbourhoods in the Greater Toronto Area, with sustained engagement in 10 core communities where youth face persistent barriers to STEM access.

Through a combination of short-term, recurring, and long-term programming, we meet youth where they are while building pathways that evolve with them over time. This allows us to respond to local needs, build trust, and create conditions for meaningful, measurable change at both the individual and community level.

While our foundation is in the GTA, our partnerships and models are designed to extend beyond it, informing broader systems change in STEM education and workforce development.
